Lahir di kota ohio Miss May I band Metalcore yang dimotori oleh Levi Benton (vokal), Justin (guitar), BJ Stead (Guitar), Ryan Neff (bass/vokals), dan Jerod Boys (drum) ini disiarkan akan keluarkan debut full album terbaru mereka yang bertitle "Rise of the lion" pada 29 april mendatang melalui label Rise Records. Dan kali ini Miss May I menunjuk Terry Date sebagai produser untuk mensukseskan album terbaru mereka, Terry juga selain memproduseri Miss May I dia juga dikabarkan mengurus band-band ternama seperti White Zombie, Pantera, Bring Me The Horizon, dan Deftones. Tepat 27 Februari 2014, Miss May I akan mengeluarkan salah satu single baru mereka yang ada di album "Rise of the lion", yaitu single yang berjudul "Gone".
Benton sang vokalis menjelaskan mengenai hal-hal di album rise of the lion, "A lot of it could be considered leftfield for us. I won't go into detail because when you do that, people expect something that they may not particularly hear, but when we finished 'At Heart', we were all stoked and thought we'd thrown everything we had into it. After a couple of years touring and growing, we've come back to writing and have been adding different influences. There's some slower, heavier stuff, thrashier parts and no two songs sound the same.
